What Will You Do Differently THIS Monday?
I'm posting this on Sunday. Hopefully some people will read it today. Most will read it Monday. Then, over the course of weeks, many will read this post.
When you read it doesn't matter. Apply the words to any Monday.
Monday. That's the day we're always extra busy. Mondays are accepted as the worse day of the week. No, not just because Monday is the first work day after a relaxing weekend. Many people don't have relaxing ...

Great site,great news,thanks for sharing!
Too often people bail on critical tasks on Fridays only to get 'slammed' on Monday with the loose ends of Friday. Make better use of Friday.
Thanks for that recommendation; it is really helpful for me to say!
In the course of the day think about where the time goes and when stress is the highest.
Finally, I really hate slob Friday.
Business doesn't run on a 5 day cycle.
Few people are in work that 'piles up' over the weekend.
I really hate slob Friday.

Are You Strong Enough to Be Different?
If you want to succeed and enjoy your work, you'll need to take chances, step out and be a little different.
You can get by by just doing your work. You'll get your annual 3% raises if you do your work efficiently enough not to draw attention. And that's exactly where most employees want to be: under the radar.
But if you're not 'most employees' and want to enjoy your work as well as do your work, ...

Why Companies Eventually Fail: Google
Let me say upfront that I am a Google AdWords customer and I am generally very pleased with their service. I have used Google's pay per click advertising for a few years and spend a few thousand dollars per month with Google.
I tried Yahoo's pay per click program, was very displeased and canceled my account after 90 days.
In spite of my general satisfaction with Google AdWords Advertising, I have had numerous billing problems. There ...

Ethics! Orange Jumpsuit Time for Blankfein
Here's a guy who deserves to be fitted with an orange jumpsuit. The corruption of Wall Street isn't part of the U.S. economic problems, it's the heart of the U.S. economic problems.
The guy pictured below, Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sachs CEO, was at the helm of a company off-loading paper the company knew would fail onto unsuspecting investors. A company that knowingly screws its customers doesn't deserve to remain in business.
Ethics. Ethics. Ethics.
Look at this ...

Why Does Inventory Turnover Matter?
Employees often complain about their company's tight inventory. Managers complain about tight inventory budgets. Buyers complain about not getting approval to buy sufficient quantity of a given item to get a 10% discount.
So what's the benefit of a tight inventory? Sure, there are some obvious things like where to put excess inventory. Also, excess inventory carries increased risk of breakage and obsolescence. But if you have enough space to put the stuff, will sell it ...

What Can Be Done When Morale Goes Sour?
Businesses have cut and budgets are still tight. Yes, there are some green shoots beginning to appear so things will probably get better but not at a fast pace.
The talent, those who make it all possible have borne the majority of the stress from this recession. They feel it most as they take pay cuts, furloughs and reduced benefits. They see friends and relatives lose jobs and it reminds them of how close to ...

COMMENTS Chris great point. when the organization does better it needs to be cautious and critical about how this will affect employees.
People want to be treated like adults and know what is going on. When an organization acts like parents and try to hide things for the benefit of the staff (children). People act like children.
Taking time to explain and share the relevance is a great start for building morale.

Change
Are YOU changing anything at your business or organization? No, not change for change's sake, but change that brings improvement. Are YOU working on changes? Why not? Is your business or organization changing the 'rules' within your industry or sphere? Why not? The most successful companies rewrite the rules all the time. That's what makes them so hard to catch! You've got three choices. - Do nothing
- Copy the successful
- Lead with change
Only one of these choices leads to real success. The other ...
